Main St Construction What are they doing for how long?

The town is adding brick sidewalk bump outs that will allow for tables and chairs along the outer walls of the restaurants. The crosswalks will be bricked and moved to better locations for instance across the street between Denim and Pearls and the Town Hall. Another brick walk will cross closer to the post office. If you want to see the schedule of the construction the map above shows this. The town has an approximately 1,5 million dollar grant that requires the work to be completed by a certain date. This construction schedule is aggressive so that it will meet the grant deadline. It has already started as you likely have noticed the beginning of the construction and it will run through July 15th. Brace yourselves and PLEASE don’t ignore our favorite restaurants during this time. The construction runs 8am to 11pm Monday thru Friday. Let our restaurants know how much you love them.
